 Work Life Balance

A defining feature of employment at Beacon is the work-life culture our employees enjoy.  We believe that a balance between work and family is both attainable and healthy and we offer programs that help our employees manage this balance.  In return, Beacon and its customers benefit from a highly committed and dependable workforce.  Our employees enjoy the following:

  • Vacation - 3-4 weeks depending upon job band
  • Holidays - 10 paid holidays, plus two floating holidays (for full time employees)
  • Telecommuting - Certain positions are subject to telecommuting arrangements.
  • Flex Hours - some employees enjoy an early morning schedule, while others prefer a late morning schedule
  • Wellness Programs - The Wellness Committee assists in making a wellness difference in the lives of Beacon employees by offering and supporting programs and events that encourage and foster good health. This committee is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles by encouraging healthy choices and inspiring and empowering employees to take responsibility for their own health and the health of their family members.
  • Social Activities - The Social Activities Committee plans and coordinates various employee events, including the annual children's holiday party, summer outing, harvest festival, outings to various sporting events, ski trips and occasional day trips to New York City.
