Beacon Mutual Responds to Network Incident – January 14, 2026

On January 14, Beacon Mutual received an alert regarding suspicious activity on the company’s network. We subsequently determined there was unauthorized access to our systems. In response, we proactively disconnected certain systems to contain the threat, initiated a forensic investigation and notified law enforcement. As of January 20, our services and systems were safely and securely restored.

We are working closely with cybersecurity experts to understand the nature and scope of this event. If the investigation finds there was unauthorized access to or acquisition of personal information, we will notify individuals whose information was involved in accordance with applicable law.

Beacon maintains a comprehensive information security program incorporating technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards that align with recognized industry standards. Beacon reviews and updates these measures as part of an ongoing risk management process.  Like all organizations, Beacon operates within a dynamic threat environment in which security risks may arise despite reasonable and appropriate safeguards.
