In an effort to help reduce the occurrence of forklift accidents, Beacon Mutual is pleased to offer the National Safety Council’s Forklift Operator Training Course to our insureds. The Forklift Operator Training Course will help educate drivers on the OSHA Standard 1910.178.

The Beacon’s forklift operator training fulfills the requirement for classroom training. Completion of practical training is necessary to obtain a training certificate. Your company must contact an outside vendor to conduct hands-on training at an additional cost. Completion of both formal and practical training is necessary to obtain a training certificate.

The forklift-training program has been developed to assist insureds with nine or fewer forklift operators. For those insureds who have ten or more operators, Beacon provides forklift “Train-the-Trainer” sessions to train a designated person in your company to conduct your own forklift training program. See the Beacon seminar schedule for dates and times of “Forklift Train-the-Trainer” seminars.
